About the role

Team Summary
We are a small frontend team building a web platform for ML data annotation. Our frontend work is an active balance of greenfield feature development and the continuous evolution of our established data-annotation tools. Whether architecting a new visual editor from scratch or modernizing an existing codebase, we hold all work to the same standard: architecture docs as the source of truth, small reviewed PRs, strict linting/type checks a dedicated component book for every UI element, and an AI-assisted workflow.
Job Summary
We are looking for an intern with solid TypeScript fundamentals who is eager to learn Svelte and modern frontend conventions. In this role you'll start with well-scoped tasks: UI components, component book entries, tests, small bug fixes in legacy projects under a mentor's review, and grow toward owning small features end to end. You will work with a modern stack (Svelte 5, TypeScript, Tailwind, Bun), practice AI-assisted development as a standard workflow, and ship to production behind strict quality gates in a team small enough for your work to make an immediate impact.
Responsibilities and Duties

Implement small UI components and pages in Svelte 5 / TypeScript following the design system

Add component book entries and write unit/browser tests for new and existing components

Fix well-scoped bugs in the new platform and in legacy projects

Integrate simple REST endpoints under guidance

Participate in code review (receive feedback, and gradually review others' PRs)

Keep type checks, lint and tests green on your changes

Improve documentation and conventions where you find gaps

Learn and apply AI-assisted development responsibly
