As our IT Specialist Intern, you'll get hands-on experience supporting and improving the IT systems that keep our growing team connected and productive. From troubleshooting everyday technical challenges to managing digital tools and supporting IT onboarding, you'll gain valuable insights into IT operations in a fast-growing deep-tech environment.
Working closely with our IT team and colleagues across the company, you'll help maintain our platforms, support users across Windows, macOS, and Linux, and contribute to building a secure, scalable, and future-proof IT environment. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of tasks, develop your technical skills, and make a real impact from day one.

Founded in 2022 as a spin-off of TU Munich, QD leverages quantum sensors to rapidly capture three-dimensional current maps within multi-layer chips. Our strong, international team of over 70, including physicists, engineers, data scientists, and other experts, works side by side with major semiconductor manufacturers, supporting chip debugging and accelerating yield analysis. What will you do
Develop and improve an IT environment, that is future-proof.
Manage and maintain our platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Microsoft AD DS and other tools).
Support and troubleshoot hardware/software issues across the organization in Windows, macOS and Linux.
Maintain and update system configurations, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Coordinate with external entities when needed for escalated issues.
Assist with IT onboarding/offboarding procedures (e.g., setting up new users, access permissions).
Document IT infrastructure, processes, and issue resolutions for internal reference.
What is expected of you
Solid knowledge of Windows and macOS, plus some experience with Linux
Interest in Microsoft 365, cloud-based and on-premises IT administration
Networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
Have a customer first approach in handling IT issues
Be fluent in English and German
Nice to have:
Experience in automating repetitive tasks
Experience with Docker or self-hosting web apps
Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
Maintain clear, organized documentation of system configurations and processes.
Respond quickly and effectively to IT-related problems within the company.
Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical team members.
Maintain discretion and confidentiality with access to sensitive systems and accounts.
