We are looking for a diligent performer, because clean books are the foundation of everything that follows. Join the CEO Office at QuantumDiamonds (QD) and become the backbone of our finance organisation. You will own your processes end-to-end and run them independently, from invoice intake to payment and the handover to our tax advisors. As a Working Student in Finance, you will keep our books clean, our invoices and expenses on track and our records audit-ready, handling day-to-day accounting with a strong focus on invoice processing, expense handling and bookkeeping. At the same time, you will help us improve and automate our finance processes as we scale from a fast-growing deep-tech company to industrial production.

Founded in 2022 as a spin-off of TU Munich, QD leverages quantum sensors to rapidly capture three-dimensional current maps within multi-layer chips. What will you do
Process incoming supplier invoices end to end: capture, check, match against purchase orders, and assign the correct accounts and cost centers in Odoo
Track open invoices and prepare payment runs
Align with suppliers and external partners on payments, open items and payment terms
Process employee expense claims and reimbursements, ensuring receipts and approvals are complete
Prepare and maintain clean records for the DATEV export to our tax advisors
Align with our tax advisors on bookkeeping questions and account management
Support monthly bookkeeping and closing activities, including reconciliations and follow ups on missing bills
Maintain supplier master data and keep our digital document archive organized
Support grant reimbursement tracking by collecting and organizing supporting documentation
Identify repetitive manual steps and help improve and automate our invoice and expense workflows
What is expected of you
You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
You are detail oriented, reliable, and enjoy working accurately with numbers and documents
You are confident in Excel, experience with DATEV, Odoo, or another ERP system is a plus
Basic knowledge of German bookkeeping (e.g. SKR03/SKR04, VAT treatment of invoices) is a plus
You take ownership: you run your processes independently and follow tasks through to completion
You are available for 15 to 20 hours per week and can work from our Munich office
Fluent German and English is required

About us
QuantumDiamonds GmbH, headquartered in Munich, Germany, develops and manufactures semiconductor inspection systems based on quantum sensing. Spun out of the Technical University of Munich in 2022, the company uses nitrogen-vacancy centers in diamond to map electrical current with micrometer precision inside advanced 2.5D and 3D chip architectures. Nine of the world's ten largest semiconductor manufacturers are engaged with QuantumDiamonds, with systems deployed across Europe, the United States, and Asia. The company is investing €152 million to build the world's first production facility for quantum sensing-based semiconductor inspection tools, supported under the European Chips Act.
