Our client, a leading innovator in cloud-based solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Senior Software Engineer to join their dynamic, remote-first engineering team. Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of complex software features and systems, ensuring high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code. Architect and implement robust solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, React, Angular). Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define project requirements and technical specifications. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards. Develop and execute comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software reliability. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring code quality. Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Mentor and guide junior software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and infrastructure. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating and adopting new tools and techniques where appropriate. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong portfolio of delivered projects. Expertise in at least one modern programming language and associated frameworks (e.g., Java/Spring, Python/Django/Flask, Node.js/Express). Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, modern frameworks like React or Angular) is a plus. Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and architectural best practices. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment. Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor team members. This role is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in Nigeria.
