We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect/Lead with expertise in Azure Data Systems to join our team. As a Data Architect/Lead, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data solutions using Azure data services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and play a key role in shaping our data architecture strategy.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement scalable and robust data architectures using Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into data architecture designs and technical specifications.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate Azure data services and technologies based on business needs, performance requirements, and scalability considerations.
Develop data models, schemas, and data integration strategies to support business analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
Design and implement data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into Azure data platforms.
Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval mechanisms to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
Define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and other team members, and promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data management and analytics, and assess their potential impact on our data architecture strategy.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
Strong expertise in designing and implementing data solutions using Azure data services.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies such as Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, or similar.
Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data governance principles.
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
