The Role
Aragon is hiring its first Business Development Representative to build the sales pipeline from the ground up. Fully remote in Canada, working closely with the Vancouver-based Head of Sales. The BDR owns the outbound motion end to end — sequences, cold calls, and lead sourcing that converts into real pipeline — with a direct path to promotion into an Account Executive seat.
What You'll Be Doing
Build and own the outbound pipeline through cold email, cold calling, and multi-channel sequences targeting prospective customers
Set up and manage outbound systems and tooling to support scalable lead sourcing
Source and qualify leads that feed directly into the sales team's pipeline
Attend and represent the company at conferences and industry events, traveling approximately five to ten times per year
Collaborate closely with the Head of Sales to refine targeting, messaging, and outbound strategy
Sales stack: Outbound multi-channel sequencing, cold-calling, and lead-sourcing tooling. Specific tools not stated in source.
Requirements
1 to 3 years outbound BDR experience
Quota-carrying track record, meeting or exceeding targets
Cold calling and cold email as primary daily activities
Based in Canada (Vancouver or West Coast preferred)
Native or near-native English fluency required
Willingness to travel to conferences 5 to 10 times per year
Green Flags
Exceeding quota in current or prior role
Hands-on outbound experience, not just support
Canadian tech startup or D2C brand background
Degree from a recognized Canadian university
Exceptional new graduate with competitive or athletic background
Red Flags
Not hitting quota in current or prior role
Too much experience, especially at the AE level
Short stints across multiple jobs without clear context
Not based in Canada or unwilling to be
Not a native or near-native English speaker
