About the role

Join the Tilt team
At Tilt, we see a side of people that traditional lenders miss. Our mobile-first products and machine learning-powered credit models look beyond credit scores, using over 250 real-time financial signals to recognize real potential. With millions of customers worldwide, we're not just changing how people access financial products — we're creating a new credit system that backs the working, whatever they're working toward.

The Opportunity: Credit Analyst, US Core
Tilt is looking for a Senior Credit Manager to support our Cash Advance business, one of our largest and most established product lines. You'll work at the intersection of credit policy, model development, and product strategy, helping us maintain the rigor and velocity of our existing credit programs while supporting a growing agenda of new product experimentation. This is an individual-contributor role with outsized visibility: you won't manage a team, but you will regularly partner with and influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders across the business.

This role is a great fit for someone who wants deep ownership of high-impact analytical work and who's energized by moving between rigorous quantitative analysis and creative, ambiguous conceptual problems.

How You'll Make an Impact

Sustain credit model and policy velocity: Support the ongoing development and refinement of credit models and underwriting policies for Cash Advance, helping maintain quality and pace as the program evolves.

Drive new product experimentation: Partner on the design and evaluation of new product constructs and pricing approaches, bringing rigorous credit analysis to test-and-learn initiatives that are still taking shape.

Bridge new product experiences and credit rigor: Bring both a user/product lens and a quantitative credit policy lens to new initiatives — helping ideas move from concept to tested, scalable strategy.

Communicate with precision and influence: Translate complex analysis into clear, decision-ready recommendations for senior stakeholders, and build the credibility to shape decisions without formal authority.

Partner cross-functionally: Work closely with data science, product, marketing and other credit and risk functions to keep initiatives moving and aligned with the broader business strategy.

Bring creativity and structure to ambiguous problems: Help scope and structure new analytical questions where the path isn't yet defined, and move initiatives forward with urgency and independent judgment.

Why You're a Great Fit

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Business, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or similar); advanced degree a plus.

5-7 years of experience in credit risk, data analytics, or a related quantitative discipline, ideally in consumer lending or fintech.

Excellent communication skills — able to go deep in the analytical weeds and also distill findings clearly for an executive audience.

Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and build trust with senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners without formal reporting authority.

Strong analytical and problem-solving instincts, with comfort operating in ambiguity and a track record of driving projects forward independently.

A creative, action-oriented approach — someone who prototypes, tests, and iterates rather than waiting for a fully-defined brief.

Eagerness to learn new tools and methods, and to stay current with trends in credit, lending, and AI.

Don’t meet every qualification? We care about potential over your past. If you're bringing ambition and drive to what we're building, we want to hear from you.
What you'll get at Tilt

Virtual-first teamwork: The Tilt team is collaborating across 14 countries, 12 time zones, and counting. You’ll get started with a WFH office reimbursement.

Competitive pay: We're big on potential, and it's reflected in our competitive compensation packages and generous equity.

Complete support: Find flexible health plans at every premium level, and substantial subsidies that stand up to global standards.

Visibility is yours: You can count on direct exposure to our leadership team — we’re a team where good ideas travel quickly.

Paid global onsites: Magic happens IRL: we gather twice yearly to reconnect over shared meals or kayaking adventures. (We’ve visited Vail, San Diego, and Mexico City, to name a few.)

Impact is recognized: Growth opportunities follow your contributions, not rigid promotion timelines.

The Tilt Way
We're looking for people who chase excellence and impact. Those who stand behind their work, celebrating the wins and learning from the missteps equally. We foster an environment where every voice is valued and mutual respect is non-negotiable — brilliant jerks need not apply. We're in this together, working to expand access to fair credit and prove that people are incredible. When you join us, it's not just another day at the [virtual] office, you're helping millions of hardworking people reach better financial futures.
You’re pushing ahead in your career? We can get behind that. Join us in building the credit system that people deserve.
