About the role

About the Role
A fast-growing, seed-stage conversational AI SaaS company is looking for a Head of Marketing to own and scale its entire marketing engine — from strategy and budget through to hands-on execution. This is a foundational role at a company that automates customer call operations for B2C businesses, handling sales, support, and operational workflows via intelligent AI voice agents.
You'll translate a highly technical product into compelling positioning, build a repeatable AI-first growth motion, and generate measurable pipeline. As the company expands into the UK and US markets, you'll be a key strategic voice while remaining operationally involved from day one. This role is based on-site in Berlin, Germany. Visa sponsorship is not available.
What You'll Do
Own marketing end-to-end — full strategic and operational responsibility including budget ownership and reporting on pipeline impact.

Define positioning, messaging, and content that make a technical product memorable and conversion-focused.

Set strategy, priorities, and KPIs across all channels; report regularly on performance and business impact.

Build and run a growth playbook that prioritises AI and automation to scale inbound across organic and paid channels.

Plan and execute go-to-market launches for new segments and geographies, including UK and US expansion.

Continuously test new channels using structured experiments and data-driven decision-making.

Operate hands-on initially, then hire and scale a high-performing marketing team as the business grows.

Manage vendor and agency relationships and oversee the annual marketing budget.

Collaborate closely with product, sales, design, and executive leadership to align on messaging and campaigns.

What We're Looking For
Required:
5+ years of marketing leadership experience, ideally including an early-stage or high-growth environment where you owned the function.

Proven track record of translating technical products into clear, compelling positioning and storytelling.

Strong hands-on growth experience across organic and paid channels with measurable results.

Experience developing and executing comprehensive multi-channel strategies (digital, content, social, email).

Data-driven mindset — proficient with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics / GA4) and experienced in running structured experiments and tracking KPIs.

Proficiency with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).

Experience managing an annual marketing budget and overseeing vendor/agency relationships.

Deep familiarity with AI and automation tools applied to marketing workflows.

Fluent in both English and German (written and verbal).

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

Nice to Have:
Background in B2B SaaS or AI/voice technology marketing.

Experience building and leading teams while remaining operationally hands-on.

Prior exposure to UK or US market expansion.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $75,000 – $120,000 annually (USD equivalent)

Opportunity to shape the marketing function from the ground up at a well-funded, high-trajectory startup

Backed by leading early-stage investors (Y Combinator and top-tier European VCs)

Collaborative, high-ownership culture with direct impact on company growth

Location
This role is on-site in Berlin, Germany. Candidates must be willing and able to work from the Berlin office. Visa sponsorship is not available — applicants must have the right to work in Germany.
