Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Vice President, Technology Development Lead to join our Southeast Asia Technology organization, based in Singapore. This leadership role is responsible for managing a portfolio of business-critical applications supporting Treasury, Payments, Trade, and Transaction Banking services across APAC. The successful candidate will lead technology delivery, application development, operational stability, regulatory initiatives, modernization programs, and risk reduction efforts while managing geographically distributed teams.

Responsibilities:

Lead the development, enhancement, and support of in-house applications across online and host-to-host platforms within the Treasury, Payments, and Trade domains
Manage both onshore and offshore technology teams responsible for project delivery, application support, and platform modernization
Provide technical leadership and architectural direction, with the ability to contribute hands-on when required to support critical deliveries
Drive the successful execution of business and regulatory initiatives using Agile and DevOps delivery methodologies
Partner with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, and technology leaders to deliver scalable and resilient solutions
Promote engineering excellence, innovation, automation, and the adoption of best practices across the software development lifecycle
Manage technology backlogs, prioritize delivery outcomes, and assess solution feasibility, effort, and timelines
Ensure high levels of application availability, production stability, operational resilience, and risk remediation
Lead technology lifecycle management activities, including infrastructure upgrades, application modernization, vulnerability remediation, and platform migrations
Articulate the business and technical value of solutions to senior management, governance forums, and technical stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement through the adoption of AI-assisted development tools and engineering productivity initiative

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience in enterprise application development and delivery using Java/J2EE and middleware technologies.
Strong hands-on software engineering background with expertise in enterprise-scale application design, development, and deployment.
Proven experience developing object-oriented, distributed, and web-based applications.
Experience with API design, integration, and service-oriented architectures.
Strong knowledge of microservices-based application development and cloud-ready architectures.
Experience deploying and supporting applications on Java application servers and middleware platforms.
Good understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering principles.
Proven ability to lead technology teams and deliver multiple concurrent projects in complex enterprise environments.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence across technology and business organizations.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands while maintaining delivery quality and operational stability.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working effectively across multiple countries and time zones.

Desired Skills:

Any Experience supporting payments, clearing, settlement, treasury, trade finance, commercial banking, transaction banking, or financial market infrastructure platforms.
Knowledge of operational resilience, cybersecurity controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar engineering productivity solutions.
Experience managing geographically distributed teams across Southeast Asia and APAC.
Familiarity with containerization, cloud-native technologies, and modern platform engineering practices.
Understanding of technology lifecycle management, infrastructure modernization, and large-scale transformation programs.
