Compensation: $120,000-$145,000 base salary + performance-based bonus

About the Firm
52TEN is a private investment firm based in Scottsdale, Arizona specializing in the acquisition and reposition of manufactured housing communities across the United States. As one of the top 100 community owners in the country, we are focused on delivering exceptional experiences for our residents, investors, partners, and team members.
Our current portfolio includes approximately 1,800 manufactured housing lots and $140M in assets under management, and we are continuing to grow through disciplined acquisitions and operational excellence.
About the Role
As we continue to grow our national portfolio, we're looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead our accounting function and build the financial foundation that supports our next stage of growth.
This is more than a traditional Controller role. You'll oversee financial reporting, month-end close, investor distributions, and the accounting team while partnering closely with executive leadership to improve systems, strengthen internal controls, and scale our finance operations.
The ideal candidate enjoys bringing order to complexity, thrives in a high-growth environment, and takes pride in building accounting systems that are both accurate and scalable.
If you're someone who enjoys building processes, developing people, and creating order in a fast-growing environment, we'd love to meet you.
Why This Role Matters
We're growing rapidly, and finance plays a central role in that growth. This position offers the opportunity to shape how our accounting organization scales over the coming years—not simply maintain what's already in place. If you're energized by building systems, developing people, and improving processes, you'll have a meaningful impact here.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Lead month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP.
Oversee financial reporting across multiple entities and investment funds.
Ensure accurate investor distributions and financial reporting.
Build scalable accounting processes and strong internal controls.
Partner with acquisitions, operations, and executive leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals.
Continuously improve systems and workflows as our portfolio grows.
