Your role
As Lead Accounting & Tax you own the accounting backbone of the Munich Electrification Group. You take end-to-end responsibility for our monthly and quarterly close and prepare the annual financial statements for all entities of the ME Group. Together with the Head of Finance you manage our tax matters and act as the key partner to our auditors and tax advisors. As we grow into an international group, you keep our numbers accurate, timely and ready for management, shareholders and our financing partners.

Your future tasks at a glance
• Own the close. Run our monthly and quarterly close and consolidation for all ME Group entities, and lead the move from quarterly to monthly consolidation
• Annual financial statements. Prepare the annual financial statements (German GAAP / HGB) for all ME Group companies and steer the year-end audit
• Tax compliance across the group. Together with our tax advisors and the Head of Finance, ensure tax compliance across the ME Group — including VAT registrations and ongoing VAT filings in several European countries as we expand internationally, and the income-tax group
• Tax operations. Manage corporate income and trade tax and transfer-pricing basics, coordinate our external tax advisors, and act as the go-to contact for tax questions across the company
• Group & financing reporting. Deliver the actuals for our group and bank reporting and support complex accounting topics
• Systems & automation. Help integrate accounting into our finance toolchain (SAP and connected systems) and use AI and automation to make the close faster and more reliable
• Trusted partner. Be the key contact for auditors, tax advisors and intercompany topics across the group

Who you are and what you bring with you
• Education. A degree in business administration, accounting or finance; a tax advisor (Steuerberater) or CPA (Wirtschaftsprüfer) qualification is a plus.
• Experience. At least 8 years experience in the relevant fields, ideally in a group, audit or tax environment.
• Technical skills. Solid German GAAP (HGB) and German tax law knowledge, confident month-end close and consolidation, strong Excel, and ERP experience (SAP a plus).
• Tax & VAT. Good working knowledge of German tax law and hands-on experience with VAT registration and indirect-tax compliance across multiple European jurisdictions is a strong plus.
• Mindset. Hands-on, structured and reliable, with enthusiasm for using AI and automation to improve how finance works.
• Languages. Fluent German and English, and the ability to explain financial topics clearly to non-finance colleagues.

Why you’ll enjoy it
You will build and own the finance backbone of a fast-growing, internationally expanding technology group — including new entities across several countries — with a modern, AI-enabled finance toolchain and direct exposure to management, shareholders and financing partners. You join a specialised, international team working with prestigious customers in the automotive and battery-storage sector.

Our Offer & Benefits
The chance to be part of a highly innovative, agile, and unique team with prestigious customers in the automotive and battery storage sector. You will gain a deeper knowledge around connected & electric vehicle batteries, battery management and electronics development and strive in an exciting work environment
