Tasks

Manage and control all reconditioning operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery performance, customer satisfaction, profitability, productivity, and cost management

Drive performance improvement within underperforming facilities by working closely with local management and the Business Improvement team

Provide strong leadership and clear decision-making authority to resolve daily operational issues, remove organizational bottlenecks, and prevent silo thinking between plants, functions, and legal entities

Develop and execute the operational strategy for the reconditioning network in line with the overall business objectives and growth plans

Follow up on major capital investment projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and according to defined business objectives

Ensure the implementation, sustainability, and continuous development of a Lean culture across production and support functions, including Earnings Improvement Projects

Continuously improve efficiency, productivity, quality, and operational excellence through standardization, best-practice sharing, and process optimization

Ensure accurate financial reporting, budget control, forecasting, and timely resolution of questions from Corporate Headquarters

Develop, justify, and obtain approval for capital investment projects, ensuring alignment with operational requirements, strategic priorities, and financial targets

Drive standardization of reconditioning processes across the Group, including grading, washing, rebottling, waste management, quality standards, digital tracking systems, and operational KPIs

Represent the company at relevant industry associations and working groups to influence future legislation, industry standards, and the implementation of PPWR and other regulatory developments within the European Union

Develop, coach, and support plant managers and key operational leaders, ensuring succession planning and talent development within the organization

Establish, monitor, and review operational KPIs, ensuring accountability and continuous performance improvement across all facilities

Responsibilities in the Area of Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental Protection and Sustainability

Ensure full compliance with all applicable environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements across all sites, as defined within local legislation, corporate standards, and management systems

Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture where all employees actively contribute to accident prevention and risk management

Ensure that operational and investment decisions are fully aligned with legal, environmental, sustainability, and corporate requirements

Establish, monitor, and continuously improve safety performance indicators, corrective actions, and risk mitigation plans

Ensure appropriate investigation, reporting, and follow-up of incidents, near misses, and environmental events

Support and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, regulatory agencies, customers, and other external stakeholders regarding environmental, safety, and operational matters

Drive initiatives that reduce waste, emissions, energy consumption, and environmental impact while supporting the company's sustainability objectives

Requirements

University degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field

Strong business and operational understanding

Experience in reconditioning, industrial services, manufacturing, chemicals, packaging, or supply chain operations is preferred

Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in an industrial environment, including responsibility for multiple sites or business units

Experience working with Joint Ventures, acquisitions, or complex stakeholder environments is an advantage

Strong knowledge of operations management, budgeting, financial reporting, and P&L management

Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, and Lean Logistics principles

Understanding of reverse logistics, including collection and transportation optimization by footprint optimization

Fluent in written and spoken English; additional European languages are an advantage

Ability to analyze business performance and translate data into actions and results

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Hands-on, pragmatic, and results-oriented leadership style

Ability to make decisions and manage priorities in a fast-paced and complex environment

Capable of driving change and implementing improvements across multiple locations

Willingness to travel extensively within Europe and internationally as required

Strong customer focus and commitment to operational excellence, safety, and sustainability
