About the role

Be a Critical Member of Fresh Prints' Production Team
Fresh Prints is a New York-based custom apparel startup. We work with incredible students across the US and support them in building apparel businesses at their schools.
The Production Artist Team reviews and revises mock-ups and production artwork for every order to ensure they accurately reflect the client's request and are ready for production. Examples of this work include:

Reviewing mock-ups and production artwork

Verifying designs match client requests

Identifying and resolving production issues

Preparing print-ready production files

Revising artwork when needed

Supporting internal production teams

Ensuring quality and consistency across orders

Direct communication with the sales team via emails
The Production Artist Team is one of Fresh Prints' biggest strengths. We're responsible for ensuring every order is accurate, production-ready, and delivered to our printers with the highest quality standards.
At Fresh Prints, we provide ongoing mentorship, technical training, QA coaching, and opportunities to build expertise in apparel production and print processes. Key Responsibilities

Review mock-ups and production artwork to ensure they accurately reflect client requests and are ready for production.

Verify artwork against order details, customer instructions, and production requirements.

Identify and resolve production issues before orders reach the printer.

Apply artwork revisions and prepare production-ready files when necessary.

Review artwork for production feasibility, consistency, placement, sizing, spelling, and other quality standards.

Communicate clearly with Campus Managers and internal teams regarding revisions, concerns, recommendations, or clarification questions.

Use Adobe Illustrator efficiently to review, edit, and prepare production artwork.

Utilize AI-assisted workflows and internal tools responsibly to improve accuracy and workflow efficiency where applicable.

Complete a set number of tickets per day while balancing speed, quality, and accuracy.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluency in English

Strong attention to detail and instruction comprehension

Critical thinker with sound judgment and problem-solving skills

Reliable, responsive, and able to manage time effectively in a remote setup

Comfortable asking questions and clarifying ambiguous requests

Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement

Able to balance speed and efficiency without compromising quality

Comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced production environment

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

Technical Requirements

Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (Adobe Photoshop is a plus)

Experience reviewing and editing production artwork or vector graphics

Basic understanding of print production processes, garment decoration methods, and artwork preparation

Ability to identify production issues related to artwork, placement, sizing, and print feasibility

A well-functioning computer capable of handling design workloads and a strong, stable internet and power connection

Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity tools and workflows is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Monthly salary ranges from $600 + $80 night shift allowance, depending on schedule and responsibilities

We cover the cost of your Adobe Illustrator license

Details

This is a remote "work-from-home" position

Work hours: 7 AM to 5 PM EST for training, and shift schedules may change after training.
