Cortica is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join its growing team! In this role, you will be a key member of the Finance team. What will you do? 

Process full-cycle payroll for assigned entities on a bi-weekly basis for an expanding workforce 

Research and resolve payroll related questions and issues; explain payroll policies and procedures and provide outstanding customer service 

Verify and process employee expense reimbursements 

Serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external payroll tax related inquires and audits

Continuously drive improvements, automation, communication, and education to improve employee experience 

Assist with the implementation of new payroll systems or updating existing systems to meet business needs 

Upgrade process and procedures as company scales to integrate with latest technology

We’d love to hear from you if: 

You possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).  

You bring 3+ years of progressive payroll processing experience.  

You have experience with multi-state payroll and familiarity with new-state registration set-up and compliance.

You have solid working knowledge of UKG (implementation experience a plus!) and the aptitude to learn new systems.

You can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects. 

You demonstrate high level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.

The base pay range for this opening is $25.09 to $31.37hourly. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
