About the Role

We are recruiting for a Head of Regulatory Affairs, leading an experienced team of 12 colleagues who support NAB’s regulatory engagement.

The Head of Regulatory Affairs is a critical role to support NAB and its senior leaders in maintaining a constructive and transparent relationship with our regulators.  It requires a leader who understands NAB’s business and operating model and has a deep understanding of the purpose and objectives of the Group’s principal regulators.  The Head of Regulatory Affairs must be someone with strong communication and influencing skills who builds trust with both internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting to and supporting the General Counsel, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate and Customer, the Head of Regulatory Affairs will be part of the RACC Leadership Team and contribute to the development of the ‘strategic ambition’ for the broader team, including engagement, well-being and the delivery of NAB’s strategic priorities.

Each day you'll go above and beyond to:

Manage the day to day relationships with NAB’s regulators;

Manage NAB Group regulatory engagements and commitments, including the appropriate GRACE entries to support NAB in meeting its regulatory commitments and obligations;

Provide advice, insight and subject matter expertise on regulatory issues relating to any regulator engagement, including prudential reviews, onsite reviews, Executive meetings, adhoc updates;

Foster a high performing, collaborative and inclusive culture in the Regulatory Affairs team, and the broader RACC team;

Contribute effectively to the RACC Leadership Team to deliver on our strategic ambition.

We're looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You'll bring:

10+ years experience (with at least 18 months at NAB)

Risk, Corporate Affairs and/or Legal qualifications (whether or not you have practised)

Experience of and or expertise in financial services regulators and regulation

Experience leading a team

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organisational skills

Experience in stakeholder or relationship management

Experience presenting to Executive committees and senior stakeholders
