Job Title: Vehicle Prepper
Location: Coalville, Leicestershire
Salary: Up to Â£37,000 per annum Dependant on experience/qualifications
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Prepper to join a busy and well-established automotive body shop in Coalville. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in vehicle preparation and paint support, looking for a stable, long-term role.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare vehicles for paint including masking, sanding, filling, and priming
Carry out vehicle prep, paint preparation, and surface correction
Remove scratches, dents, and minor imperfections prior to painting
Work closely with Paint Sprayers to ensure a high-quality finish
Use body shop tools such as sanders, polishers, and prep equipment
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Vehicle Prepper / Prep Technician / Bodyshop Prepper
Strong knowledge of sanding, masking, priming, and prep techniques
Experience within a body shop, accident repair centre, or automotive workshop
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
High attention to detail and quality
Desirable Skills:
Experience in polishing, buffing, and finishing
Previous support to Paint Sprayers
