About the role

FEQ427R476

Location: Remote, Germany

At Databricks, we build the platform that makes data and AI usable across an entire organization, not just in a specialist team. Our customers come to us with problems that have no template, and the Solutions Architects are the people who work those problems out with them.

As a Lead Solutions Architect, you own our most complex enterprise relationships in the region, technically and commercially, and you act as a recognized voice in the wider data community. You will be measured by the impact you have on those accounts and on the Solutions Architects around you.

The impact you will have

Lead and manage complex enterprise accounts with custom requirements, from the first technical conversation through to production.

Deliver compelling demos and pitches to budget holders and C-level stakeholders.

Turn customer conversations into working prototypes fast, using AI-assisted development to build demos in hours rather than weeks.

Mentor and develop Solutions Architects and Senior SAs together with Field Engineering leadership.

Build Databricks' technical presence in the DACH market through customer-facing collateral, workshops, meetups, and conference talks.

Develop and roll out best practices and repeatable processes across the region.

Establish close working relationships with internal SMEs, product teams, and leadership.

What we look for

Fluent German and business-level English. Both are used daily with customers and internally.

Substantial experience in technical pre-sales, including complex customer interactions across the full sales lifecycle.

Ability to drive technical and business conversations with C-level executives, orchestrate cross-functional teams, and influence outcomes toward long-term customer success.

Strong track record in the data landscape, with deep expertise in at least one of data engineering or data science.

Hands-on coding ability in Python and SQL.

Daily, fluent use of AI tools in your own work. Coding assistants and agents are part of how you operate, not something you try out occasionally.

Able to vibe-code a demo: assemble a credible, working prototype for a specific customer problem with AI assistance, and recognize where the output still needs your own judgment.

Hands-on experience running complex proofs of concept on at least one major public cloud.

Judgment to prioritize the right use cases and investments, and to navigate a competitive landscape.
