About the role

Role Overview
The Unix Infrastructure Engineer will support projects/services, particularly on In Place Upgrade and Tech refresh projects, ensuring the quality of ITP services remains consistently high. The role involves designing and implementing solutions, managing SAN and NAS, and maintaining system integrity and quality.
What You Will Do
Provide 24/7/365 primary support for all RedHat Linux, Centos, Ubuntu & AIX servers, monitor UNIX systems, design and implement solutions, and maintain and adapt server software and system components lifecycle Management.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, etc.
At least 10+ years of technical experience in operating system (OS)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x / 8.x/ 9.x
Ubuntu 16.x / 18.x / 20.x / 22.x
In Place Upgrade experience
Veritas & OpenSVC Cluster Skills
Patching and Vulnerability management
Handling Hardware Failure Cases
Automating tasks (code, apply and troubleshoot) using Shell scripts, Ansible
Veritas and OpenSVC skillset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Knowledge of ITIL and Python
Knowledge and experience with Ansible Tower, Centrify, Veritas and BMC software
Experience using or supporting VSAN, iSCSI, DAS, NAS, SAN storage technologies
Good scripting skills, in PowerShell, Python or other programming languages
Knowledge and experience using Agile methodologies and/or has been part of DevOps teams
