About the role

How you'll help us host with heart:
You will contribute directly to the guest experience, as well as build features for our internal tools used by in-house teams.
Our teams are organised along the customer journey, with each team owning its area end-to-end. We work cross-functionally and use pragmatic, lightweight agile (stand-ups, planning, retros), plus best practices like RFCs and regular knowledge sharing.
The role we are looking to fill is with our Payments team. You will help shape and deliver its mission from concept to production.

As a candidate, you are a great fit if you:
Care about impact over ticket output. You want to understand the "why" behind what you build, think from the user's and a business perspective, and help strengthen the technical foundation along the way.

Have experience in distributed systems (microservices/serverless/service-oriented architectures) and enjoy building cloud-native solutions that scale with growth. You are happy to follow a problem across the stack rather than staying strictly in one layer.

Are fluently working with AI. You use AI-assisted development as a natural part of how you build – implementation, debugging, testing, docs – and you're comfortable working with an existing agent setup (skills, MCPs, subagents) and improving it where it helps the team.

Work comfortably with server-side TypeScript or Python and care about clean, well-tested code and solid engineering practices.

Have used a major cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure) and understand observability: metrics, monitoring, alerting, and the principles behind reliable deployments.

Communicate clearly in code reviews, design docs, and cross-team collaboration and enjoy sharing knowledge and feedback.

Have worked on payments, billing, or financial reconciliation in complex environments.

Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply. We know confidence gaps and impostor syndrome can hold back incredible candidates – and we don’t want that to stop us from meeting you. We want people to feel comfortable bringing their full selves, and to come, stay, and do their best work here – not just people who check every box.

About Digital Experience (Product, Design & Engineering): We're a team of people from all over the world, working hybrid from Munich and Berlin (and remotely in special cases). We believe in self-organising teams with end-to-end ownership and a strong focus on guest experience.
We invest heavily in growth, with a limitless learning budget and plenty of ways to learn from each other, from pairing to regular tech talks. We value impact, continuous improvement, and learning from what doesn't work. Within we're 30 people across 7 teams. Our infrastructure runs on AWS and is orchestrated with CDK. Our core languages are TypeScript and Python. AI is part of everyday engineering here - most of our production code is AI-assisted, and we're building it into our whole development workflow so we spend our time where it counts.

We're designed to stay because:
Hybrid Office Model: We offer a flexible and empowering work environment - you can choose to work 100% from our office or partially from home and the office.

Visa & Language Support: We’ll support you during your visa process and with learning German on every language level after passing your probation period.

Relocation Support: We'll financially support your move to Munich if you live further away than 300km from our office.

Oneteam: We are #oneteam with a transparent company culture by staying up to date with each other through team stand-ups, regular All-Hands and suite events (Summer, Wiesn, Christmas).

Growth and Development: We make sure that you keep growing - through constant feedback, peer reviews and exchanges with focus on your development.

Limitless learning: We offer you the possibility to choose an external development format that will help you in reaching your full potential without any limits in budget.

Workation: You have the chance to work twice per year for a duration of up to 4 weeks from a different country in the European Union. Our limehomies love traveling so we want to give them the chance to work from inspiring new locations regularly.

Sabbatical: After your 1.5 years with limehome we offer the possibility for a 3-month sabbatical. You can use it for whatever you want: may it be traveling, spending time with your besties or volunteering.

Everything for our limehomies: We focus on your physical wellbeing (Urban Sports Club), to your mental wellbeing (Nilo.health), or even staycations in one of our beautiful limehomes, and many more suite benefits. Join us and find out! ;)
