About the role

Job Description
We are a CDMO organization with a focus on manufacture of biologics through microbial fermentation (both large scale and SUF), complex chemistry including HPAPI capabilities, ADC components (payloads, linkers), GLP-1 purification, bioreagents, and other emerging modalities and are seeking a highly accomplished Business Development professional who combines deep commercial expertise with an extensive technical and scientific knowledge and an existing contact base (required) with decision makers within in the Pharmaceutical market based in the East Coast / West Coast of North America.
The successful candidate will independently identify emerging business opportunities, develop growth strategies, and influence business direction across key life science and biopharmaceutical markets. Working closely within the Commercial team with technical SME's, marketing, Operations, and project management, this individual will serve as a trusted advisor to the AVP of Business Development while driving high-impact initiatives that generate revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex market development programs, building influential industry relationships, and translating market intelligence into actionable business strategies. They will possess the ability to navigate ambiguity, identify innovative solutions to challenging business problems, and serve as a recognized subject matter on the drug substance market expert both internally and externally.
Key responsibilities include:

Achieving assigned portion of the AAT annual revenue goal while also satisfying business’ margin expectations

Developing and executing strategic business development plans and expansion initiatives, within their area .

Accurate forecasting of financial opportunities on a bi-weekly basis relative to assigned accounts along with probability of closing in a given month, quarter.

Identifying, qualifying new business opportunities, and emerging industry trends.

Leading complex scientific, technical conversations with biopharma decisions makers across external purchasing, manufacturing, quality and research departments.

Serving as a voice-of-customer advocate to shape business plans and technical platform decisions.

Leading cross-functional projects with significant organizational impact.

Building relationships with key opinion leaders, industry partners, and strategic customers.

Negotiating contracts and renewal arrangements to the benefit of AAT

Providing mentorship, guidance, across the organization.

Representing the company at industry conferences, scientific meetings, and customer engagements.

Entry of all activity into sf.com on a weekly basis

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent

4+ years of relevant CDMO industry/partnership experience; 5+ years is preferred

Demonstrate a history of influencing business development and sales, driving commercial growth, and guiding complex initiatives within the biopharmaceutical & complex chemistry sectors

It is sales incentive eligible.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $147,675.00 - $295,350.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
