Director, New Business Development – Aerospace Engineering Services
Remote (Eastern United States)
Our Client is seeking a senior-level Director of New Business Development to drive growth across its Aerospace Engineering Services portfolio. This role is ideal for a strategic, results-driven business development leader with a strong background in engineering and technical services, deep industry relationships, and a proven ability to open new accounts and expand existing partnerships with Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
The successful candidate will bring a consultative, solution-based sales approach and work closely with engineering and delivery teams to deliver innovative, high-value solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for engineering services within the aerospace market.

Leverage and expand an established network of Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to drive sustained revenue growth.

Define and execute a strategic business development plan aligned with the organization's aerospace engineering capabilities.

Lead solution-oriented sales efforts, positioning engineering design, analysis, digital engineering, and testing services to address customer challenges.

Collaborate closely with engineering, delivery, and leadership teams to ensure technical alignment and successful solution delivery.

Own the end-to-end sales process, including opportunity qualification, proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and deal closure.

Track industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to proactively identify emerging opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

8–10+ years of experience in business development or sales within engineering services, preferably in aerospace and/or defense.

Demonstrated success selling engineering, design, or technology-driven services to Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

Strong existing relationships within key aerospace accounts and a proven ability to open new doors.

Solid technical and commercial understanding, with the ability to translate complex engineering solutions into clear business value.

Excellent executive-level communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.

Self-motivated, results-oriented leader who thrives in a remote environment and collaborates effectively across global teams.

Willingness to travel within the Eastern U.S. and internationally as required.
