We are an energetic team from Freiburg, fully dedicated to the energy transition and climate-friendly urban development. As part of our "Finders" team, you will work directly on the mathematical and technical foundations of our software applications. You will help us develop the calculation cores, model new technologies, and create well-founded decision-making bases for energy-efficient building renovation. Tasks

Code & Model Development: You independently develop and extend Python code in the calculation cores of our software solutions.

Feature Expansion: You implement new calculation methods, such as determining the cooling demand of buildings, modeling innovative system engineering, and various renovation options.

Data & Market Maintenance: You keep economic assumptions, funding rates, and scenarios for future energy price developments up to date.

SaaS Integration: You prepare updates of our calculation cores so that they can be seamlessly integrated into the backend of our software applications.

Research & Specialist Support: You keep an eye on legal and technical developments and support the team with your building energy expertise on technical questions.

Requirements

You can support us on-site in Freiburg.

You are studying energy engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, renewable energies, industrial engineering, or a related field of study.

In-depth energy knowledge regarding buildings and system technology is your greatest strength and continuously inspires you.

You have experience in Python programming and an eye for clean, well-structured code.

You bring a basic interest in software development and the functionality of SaaS applications.

You work independently, solution-oriented, and like to contribute your own ideas.

You are looking for a long-term working student position (at least one semester) with the opportunity for continuous development.

You are a team player and want to actively contribute to the energy transition.
