What you’ll do
In this role as a Respiratory Account Specialist (RAS) you will sell AstraZeneca inhaled respiratory brands to key secondary care customers, always representing AstraZeneca’s high ethical standards. You will:

Engage with key hospitals to expand sales volume and share through clinical and business-to-business selling

Generate customer / account insights and build account plans to increase the number of patients on AZ brands

Work with the cross functional team and with AZ customers to identify and deliver opportunities for practice change at a population level

Develop and drive advocacy, clinical consensus and support RHMs on improving market access (formulary and guidelines) for the brands

Accountabilities:

To deliver and exceed sales targets for allocated brand/s

Accountable for the development and delivery of the account plan

Accountable for effective territory management – e.g. understand local NHS priorities to develop and implement effective call plans

Deliver against all agreed individual and team metrics in order to achieve Account goals, investing resources and budgets in line with agreed plans / expenditure. You will ensure impact from resource invested

Demonstrate and maintain high level of clinical, therapy area and environmental knowledge

Ensure compliance with all AZ Governance frameworks, SOPs and the ABPI Code of Practice

Crucial for the role

Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (both with customers and colleagues)

Strong sales experience, including primary and secondary both f2f and virtual. Strong Pharma background – will also consider Pharmacists/Device Sales

Knowledge of the customer and therapy area within area of responsibility

High emotional intelligence confirmed through management of own demeanor

ABPI qualified (unless new to the representative role)

Experience of formulary applications at trust level

Experience in launching new medicines

Strong NHS knowledge and understanding

Demonstrable strategy implementation & pull through

Shows initiative and is self-starting

Strong results focus

Full driving licence

Desirable for the role
Market Access experience of gaining product position on guidelines
