Shaping HR at Ekipa Agency
Ekipa Agency GmbH is an international artist booking agency based in Berlin, specializing in electronic music. With a unique roster of versatile artists, Ekipa facilitates club nights and festivals, operating within the professional services industry. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Freelance HR Consultant to establish and refine our human resources framework.
Your Contribution as Freelance HR Consultant
In this role, you will be instrumental in laying the groundwork for our HR operations. You will advise on best practices for a small, international team, ensuring our internal processes support our growth and artist-focused mission. This will involve:
Developing and implementing foundational HR policies and procedures.
Providing expert guidance on German labor law specific to freelancers and small businesses.
Consulting on talent acquisition strategies and onboarding processes.
Supporting the team with HR-related inquiries and documentation.
Establishing a scalable HR structure for future expansion.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a professional with a solid understanding of HR principles, particularly within the German context. Your experience should enable you to independently set up and manage HR functions for a small, dynamic company.
Proven experience as an HR consultant or in a similar HR leadership role, ideally with small to medium-sized businesses.
Strong knowledge of German labor law (Arbeitsrecht) and regulations relevant to freelancers and employment.
Ability to work autonomously and deliver practical, actionable HR solutions.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to advise stakeholders effectively.
Fluency in English is required; German language skills are a significant advantage for navigating local regulations.

Your First Months at Ekipa
Starting November 1, 2026, you will embark on a 4-month contract, dedicating approximately 2 hours per week to Ekipa. In this initial period, you will conduct an assessment of our current needs, propose a foundational HR strategy, and begin implementing key policies. Your initial focus will be on establishing clear guidelines for our freelance contracts and advising on compliant operational practices, setting the stage for Ekipa's sustainable growth.
