Toplent helps companies scale faster by connecting them with exceptional remote professionals from SEA, LATAM, and South Africa. We are currently collaborating with a client who is seeking a skilled and reliable Backend Developer to join their team on a remote full-time basis.
💼 Responsibilities:
⚙️ Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
🗄️ Manage databases, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity and security
🔗 Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
🔍 Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
📊 Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
✅ Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews
🔒 Ensure high performance, security, and responsiveness of applications
🛠️ Required Skills:
💬 Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
👩💻 Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, or Ruby)
🗂️ Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
🔧 Knowledge of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
☁️ Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
📊 Solid understanding of software engineering principles, scalability, and performance optimization
🧾 Previous experience as a backend developer or in a similar role is strongly preferred
