About the role

About the Role
Join an early-stage AI-powered HR technology startup as its first Account Executive. You will own the sales cycle from prospecting through close and work directly with company leadership to shape the go-to-market approach. Your work will help build the sales foundation and contribute directly to revenue growth.
What You'll Do

Manage the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, discovery, product demonstrations, negotiation, and closing.

Research target accounts, run outbound campaigns, and build pipeline without relying on a separate sales development representative.

Lead sales conversations with HR leaders, finance executives, and IT procurement teams.

Partner with company leadership to refine the ideal customer profile, test messaging, and develop the sales playbook.

Share customer challenges and feedback with product and engineering partners.

What We're Looking For

Zero to two years of professional experience, or a recent graduate, with direct sales or Account Executive experience.

Experience closing enterprise deals and selling HR technology.

A demonstrated ability to prospect, generate pipeline, and close, including through internships, campus sales roles, or sales development experience.

Experience building sales pipeline or processes from scratch in a startup or small business environment.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with comfort working autonomously in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment.

Interest or experience in HR, finance, or AI is helpful.

Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $65,000 to $75,000 annually, with a 50/50 base and commission split and $140,000 OTE (on-target earnings, base plus variable). Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Remote within the United States.
