How you will impact the organization…
The organization is seeking a pragmatic developer who understands that the landscape of software engineering is shifting. The purpose of this role is to balance leveraging AI for rapid, intuitive "Vibe Coding" with the technical discipline of "Spec-Driven Development" to build superior products. This individual must know how to utilize LLMs for creative exploration while pinning down maintainability through strict technical specifications.

Hybrid Development: Transition effectively between rapid AI-assisted iteration and disciplined, manual engineering throughout the feature lifecycle.
Tooling Integration: Utilize Amazon Kiro as a primary driver within the AWS environment while remaining proficient in the broader ecosystem, including Cursor and GitHub Copilot.
System Architecture: Design and maintain modular, readable structures that AI agents work within to ensure clarity for human colleagues.
Prompt & Spec Engineering: Author high-quality technical prompts and formal specifications to minimize hallucination and maximize logic accuracy.
Code Quality Control: Act as the final auditor for all AI-assisted contributions to ensure they meet internal standards and security protocols.
Testing & Documentation: Employ Test-Driven Development (TDD) and write clear technical documentation to serve as the source of truth for AI tools.

What you will bring to the table…
7+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
Experience with Java, Python, Node.JS, and JavaScript.
Experience building and shipping products using AI-assisted engineering disciplines or "vibe-to-spec" workflows.
Pragmatic Engineering: The ability to prioritize stability and performance over speed, while still utilizing AI to accelerate the development lifecycle.
AI-Native Tooling Mastery: Advanced proficiency with Amazon Kiro, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot, coupled with an understanding of the broader AI-agent ecosystem.
Full-Stack Architecture: Strong grasp of CS fundamentals, including system design, API architecture, and database management (SQL/NoSQL).
Analytical Thinking: A deep-seated need to understand the "why" behind generated code; ability to debug and optimize complex logic manually.
Testing & Documentation: Mastery of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and the ability to write precise technical documentation that guides AI tools.
AWS Proficiency: General comfort navigating AWS services and managing cloud deployment pipelines.

Experience with various AI-native agents and emerging IDEs.
Active involvement in the AI-engineering community or a portfolio showcasing AI-augmented projects.

Location requirements: Fully remote within the U.S. (Los Angeles or Las Vegas preferred.)
Travel requirements: Up to 10% travel.
Physical requirements: Must be able to sit for long periods, as well as, handle long periods of screen time.
Technology requirements: Reliable, high speed internet.

The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $197,500 USD annually. The total compensation package for this position is negotiable and may also include annual performance bonus, ESPP, enhanced time off packages and benefits. This job doesn't have an expiration date and will remain open until a qualified candidate is hired.
