Salary: Php 65,000 to Php 90,000/ monthly (negotiable based on experience)
Working Hours & Conditions: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM AEST/AEDT, Melbourne Time and Australian Holidays
Employment: Full Time - Independent Contractor
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
The company is an Australian mortgage broking business dedicated to helping clients secure tailored lending solutions with clarity and confidence. The firm partners closely with an extensive panel of major and non-major lenders to support clients across residential home loans, refinancing, and specialized debt structures. Driven by rigorous compliance standards, operational efficiency, and high-touch service, the company delivers a seamless, transparent borrowing experience from initial discovery through to settlement and ongoing portfolio management.
OVERVIEW:
The company is seeking an exceptional, highly analytical Credit Analyst to take operational ownership of the credit assessment and deal structuring lifecycle. Partnering directly with the Principal Broker and collaborating alongside our in-house Loan Processor, you will step in immediately following the client interview via a warm handover to drive applications from initial analysis through to formal approval and settlement.
This role requires deep expertise across complex residential lending scenarios (PAYG, self-employed, trust, and SMSF), rigorous hands-on proficiency in Connective Mercury and Quickli, and a robust compliance mindset to safeguard quality assurance across every file.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deal Ownership & Warm Handover: Assume primary control of client files immediately following the Principal Broker’s discovery interview; serve as the central operational point of contact for customer inquiries and supplementary document collection.

Credit Assessment & Servicing Analysis: Complete end-to-end borrowing capacity calculations using Quickli and individual lender servicing calculators; analyze complex income structures (including self-employed financials, corporate trusts, and SMSFs) and benchmark against policy across major and non-major lenders.

Loan Structuring & Scenario Presentation: Formulate and present the top 3 tailored lending solutions for broker sign-off, order upfront property valuations, and execute competitive pricing requests across panels.

Broker Notes & Application Packaging: Draft comprehensive, end-to-end Broker Notes and credit compliance narratives; ensure all qualitative and quantitative risk factors are addressed before lodge.

Lender & Pipeline Management: Liaise directly with lender credit assessors, credit coaches, and BDMs to overturn conditions, clarify policy nuances, and accelerate MIRs (More Information Required) through to formal unconditional approval.

Collaborative Pipeline Support: Oversee and quality-check the Loan Processor’s input into ApplyOnline (AOL) and Mercury CRM; guide the file through unconditional approval, loan document signing, and settlement milestones.

Quality Assurance & Compliance Oversight: Conduct thorough pre-submission audits against BID (Best Interests Duty) and responsible lending standards; collaborate with leadership to refine, document, and enforce internal compliance protocols and file checklists.

Portfolio Operations & Repricing: Proactively review backbook portfolios during operational lulls to execute repricing requests, identify refinance opportunities, and protect client retention.

Requirements

Direct Industry Experience:Minimum 2–3+ years of proven experience as a Credit Analyst or Senior Loan Writer supporting an Australian residential mortgage broking operation.

Software Proficiency (Non-Negotiable): Advanced, hands-on working knowledge of Connective Mercury CRM and Quickli servicing software.

Credit Policy Mastery: Deep, up-to-date working knowledge of Australian credit policies, NCCP regulations, and servicing methodologies across major banks, regional lenders, and non-bank specialists.

Complex File Execution: Proven track record analyzing diverse and complex lending scenarios, including company and discretionary trusts, multi-entity self-employed structures, and SMSF lending.

Communication & Professionalism: Flawless verbal and written business English, with the confidence to communicate directly with clients, credit assessors, and key stakeholders.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or equivalent industry certifications (e.g., Cert IV or Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking).

Preferred

Prior background in compliance management, file auditing, or credit coaching within an Australian brokerage or aggregator network.

Experience formalizing SOPs, process workflows, and QA checklists for scaling mortgage operations.

Demonstrated experience mentoring, peer-reviewing, or delegating administrative workflows to junior processors and support staff.

What You’ll Bring

A High-Precision Credit Lens: An analytical, investigative approach to bank statements, tax returns, and financials that catches discrepancies before an assessor does.

End-to-End Ownership: A proactive operational posture that independently drives deals forward rather than waiting on direction.

Collaborative Leadership: The poise and team-first attitude required to partner seamlessly with the Principal Broker and Loan Processor to elevate total client experience.

Process-Driven Discipline: Strong organizational bandwidth capable of juggling multi-stage pipelines, tight SLA targets, and backbook retention campaigns without compromising accuracy.
