About the role

Help turn good ideas into software people can rely on
Do you enjoy trying new features, spotting what does not quite work and figuring out why? At AUGLETICS, you will help make sure our rowing machines, device software and app work well together, so new features reach our customers thoroughly tested.
We develop and manufacture connected rowing machines in Königs Wusterhausen near Berlin. You will test on real equipment, work closely with developers and see how your feedback improves the product.
You will join a software team of four to five people and work directly with our CTO, Christopher Klabunde. Your focus is software quality assurance. Alongside hands-on testing, you will help coordinate projects: clarify requirements, organise open tasks and help the team move ideas through to release. You can grow into this responsibility, with support from Chris and the team.
What you will do
Test the app and devices: Explore new features, everyday training workflows and edge cases, and give specific feedback on functionality and usability.

Build repeatable tests: Develop test cases, checklists and regression tests. Gradually introduce test automation where it helps the product and team.

Follow bugs through to resolution: Document reproducible steps, investigate causes with developers and verify fixes, including their impact on other features.

Help projects move forward: Organise tasks, define clear acceptance criteria, coordinate dependencies and keep progress and open questions visible.

Support effective teamwork: Facilitate agile discussions using approaches such as Scrum or Kanban, help remove obstacles and improve workflows with the team. This is project coordination without line-management responsibility.

Use AI thoughtfully: Apply AI tools to test ideas, debugging, small utilities and automation, while carefully checking the results.

What you bring
An interest in software testing, quality assurance and technical projects. Previous experience is welcome, but not required; we are also interested in how you learn and why you want to enter this field.

Curiosity, attention to detail and a systematic approach to solving problems. You can explain what went wrong and how to reproduce it.

A technical foundation and an interest in understanding how apps, devices and backends work together.

Initiative and an organised approach. You ask questions, follow up on open points and care about getting things finished.

Openness to AI-assisted development and testing. If you have experimented with these tools, we would love to hear about it.

Good spoken and written English is required. You need to discuss technical topics and document findings confidently. German is not required, but it is a strong advantage.

The ability to work regularly on site in Königs Wusterhausen, because many tests happen directly on the rowing machines.

A degree in computer science or a related subject, relevant vocational training, or equivalent knowledge provides a good foundation.
Experienced or just starting out? We would like to meet you
Already have several years of experience? Great – bring your ideas and a fresh perspective. New to this field or looking for your first professional role? That is welcome too. If you are excited about our product, have a technical foundation and learn quickly, we would like to hear from you.
Whichever stage you are at, it is our job to help you settle into the team and provide the knowledge, tools and support you need to succeed. You will get to know our product and ways of working alongside Chris and the team. We will match your initial tasks and responsibilities to your experience and help you grow from there.
Nice to have
Experience with Android development, for example Kotlin or Java.

Experience with Firebase as an app backend and the interaction between apps, user accounts and stored data.

Experience in iOS development, ideally with Swift or SwiftUI.

Some knowledge of test automation, Git, CI/CD or agile project work. A Scrum Master certification is not required.

What we offer
A real product you can try out yourself, with a direct impact on how our customers train.

A company of around 25 people, a small software team and close collaboration with CTO Christopher Klabunde.

Room for your ideas and professional growth, with responsibilities that develop with your skills.

A permanent, full-time position: 40 hours per week and 28 days of annual leave.

€50,000–€65,000 gross per year, depending on your relevant skills and experience.

A workplace in Königs Wusterhausen near Berlin, with one or two days of working from home per week by agreement.

Working near Berlin
Our office is at Zur Heide 10, Königs Wusterhausen. The town has direct S46 S-Bahn and regional train connections to Berlin; you can cycle from the station to our office. Regular on-site work matters because development, testing and teamwork happen around the actual rowing machines. This is a hybrid role based in Germany.
How to apply
Send us your CV in English or German. No formal cover letter is needed. A project example or test plan is welcome, but optional.
Four optional questions
Answer any of these if you would like to. A few bullet points in English or German are enough. No extra document or application assignment is required.
What interests you about combining software quality, a real fitness product and project coordination?

When did you last investigate a bug or unclear problem systematically? Your example can come from work, study, a personal project or everyday life.

Have you tried AI tools, software testing or automation? What did you learn? If these are new to you, where would you like to start?

How comfortable are you discussing technical topics in English? Does regular on-site work in Königs Wusterhausen suit you, and when could you start?

We will start with a short online conversation, followed by a closer look at your experience, learning approach and the work at AUGLETICS.
