Your Role:
As a Compliance Analyst, you will:
Perform customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) checks across various Australian entity types to satisfy AUSTRAC identification and verification requirements.
Analyze customer KYC data, perform risk analysis, and conduct deep-dive investigations on complex accounts when required.
Conduct and review screening checks for Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), sanctions, and adverse media.
Liaise directly with customers to collect required verification documentation to complete the due diligence process.
Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams including Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales while supporting ad-hoc risk and compliance initiatives.
What You Need:
Non-negotiables
Experience working within Banking, Financial Services, or Payments sectors.
Solid understanding of effective risk management frameworks and financial crime prevention principles.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail with proven problem-solving, risk analysis, and deep-dive investigation capabilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks, remain focused under pressure, and work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred skills/expertise
Professional qualifications or certifications relating to AML/KYC, Investigations, or Regulatory Compliance (e.g., CAMS or similar).
Prior experience operating within a high-growth startup environment.
Familiarity with Australian regulatory frameworks, entity types, and AUSTRAC compliance requirements.
Experience conducting PEPs, sanctions, and adverse media screening investigations.
Background in customer onboarding, document verification, or direct customer liaison for compliance reviews.
